In the Junior Category, Conrad Garrow  had an almost flawless race day taking pole position, and first in all the races, including the final for maximum points! Sharvesh Senthil was also in strong form in the Junior field, qualifying in 2nd place, and starting the final in 2nd as well. Slight contact at the start between Sharvesh and Conrad meant that Conrad had to battle to overtake Max Whilloughby in the opening laps before pulling away to win by over 5 seconds!

The contact proved worse for Sharvesh as his engine switch off momentarily – dropping him to the back of the field. He was set for a strong recovery, but a dropped chain resulted in a DNF.

Aaron Chan (GT Racing) took part in his first ever sanctioned kart race, and performed well. A DNF in the pre-final prepared him for a rise up the field to come home in 5th place, recording the most places gained in the final out of all drivers. Having a nice result straight out of the gate is a great confidence booster for future races.

Yehonatan Moshe has had a long break from racing, and this round was his come-back event. An unfortunate coming together with another driver in the final dropped him down the order, but Moshe did well to push his kart back on track and finish the race.

Yehonatan, Conrad, and Sharvesh have all been putting in more effort to increase their fitness and strength levels recently – and it’s showing with improved stamina leading to better consistency and overall better technique.

In Mini ROK Satt Kotak had a breakthrough weekend by leading a heat, and being on-pace to challenge for race wins against more experienced competitors. Satt started the final in 2nd place, but unfortunately a slight off on lap one meant a spin followed by a mechanical issue. While the end-result was a DNF, Satt’s performance was stellar with much improved pace which promises a lot for the rest of the session. Aakil Rungta took 3rd place behind Riley Jackson – a great result considering a lack of recent practice time.

Well done to other drivers that Full Focus has worked with in the past such as the race winner Jamie White, 2nd place Riley Jackson, as well as Robert Hawkswood and Adhvay Gorthy.

The next round of ROK Cup Singapore is scheduled for the 7th of April.
